UX Case Study: Dynamics 365 Redesign

I. Discovery & Legacy Analysis

The project commenced with an in-depth study of the legacy Dynamics 365 website. The team, consisting of creatives, project managers and developers, delved into understanding the former setup, organization, content, and assets.

II. Planning & Customer Alignment

With a solid grasp of the existing setup, we connected with Microsoft to validate our findings, ensuring a seamless transition to their upgraded Dynamics 365 experience.

III. Design Iterations & Implementation

Embracing an Agile Approach, collaborative efforts with the design team led to iterative enhancements using redlines, column grids, InVision, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. As a Design Technologist, I played a crucial role in bridging the communication gap, contributing to the design through feedback, visuals, and refining website elements.

IV. User Testing & QA

The team gained significant insights from my contributions to user testing and design direction discussions. This information played a pivotal role in guiding critical design decisions, addressing usability concerns, and ensuring alignment with the expectations of both users and Microsoft.

V. Rigorous Testing & QA Iteration

Conducting tests across browsers, devices, and criteria instilled confidence in the design's robustness, ensuring a delightful user experience.

VI. Successful Launch

After a substantial investment of time and resources, the Dynamics 365 team launched the website successfully and on time. This accomplishment symbolized the result of a collective effort and instilled a sense of satisfaction in the final product.
